Stephensons Estate Agents expand with new Commercial & Development Department

Stephensons Estate Agents are delighted to announce the appointment of Elliot Newby into their Commercial & Development department as Commercial Surveyor, joining Commercial Partner James Reynolds, to help increase their presence within the city and surrounding market towns. James has established a solid reputation for providing excellent valuation, professional and agency advice, on a wide range of commercial property to clients across the region; and the addition of Elliot will allow an expansion on that, as well as grow an agency department specialising in commercial and development property.

Elliot comes with a proven track record within the commercial property sector, having spent over a decade in the local market, specialising in agency and professional work for local and national clients alike. Most recently, Elliot spent time with fellow York based firm, Barry Crux & Company where most notably he was involved in the disposal of 33 Coney Street on behalf of NFU Mutual to the Helmsley Group.

Elliot commented “It is a real privilege to have joined such a highly regarded and long-established firm and to be given such an opportunity to help develop a new commercial and development department”. Elliot’s role will also see him assist Managing Partner Ian Reynolds with the firms’ market leading Land division. Elliot has been involved in the disposal of numerous commercial assets for residential redevelopment across the Yorkshire region and will add valuable support to the team.

Elliot is a full member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a RICS Registered Valuer. The appointment brings the total number of Chartered Surveyors within the practice to seven.
