We have five, carefully positioned offices throughout the region, including York, Haxby, Easingwold, Selby & Boroughbridge, which are staffed by a superb team of chartered surveyors, estate agents, auctioneers and qualified valuers.

Having joined Stephensons in 2002 becoming a Partner of the company in 2010, Nick has over 21 years of experience of the North Yorkshire Housing market qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006. Nick specialises in all areas of Residential Property including residential sales, residential lettings, development land and property auctions.
Having grown up in and around the villages of York, Oliver is approaching 20 years in the property industry having worked for some of the largest property organisations, both locally and nationally. From a family with a wealth of property background this allows him to offer an extensive knowledge of the people and property of North Yorkshire. Oliver joined the company in 2008 becoming a Partner in 2017, and is on hand to provide sound and sensible property advice.
Elliot comes from a family with extensive property knowledge and is a graduate of Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in building surveying. In 2017 he completed his RICS qualifications to become a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer.
Having spent 10 years working for local independent companies, Elliot joined Stephensons in 2022 to head up our commercial agency arm, and is involved in all aspects of commercial property including agency, rent reviews, lease renewals, property management and formal RICS ‘Red Book’ valuations. Elliot was appointed as an Associate Partner in 2024 before becoming a Partner in April 2025.
Tom joined the Selby team in 2015, before becoming Branch Manager 2019. A member of the National Association of Estate Agents with over 10 years of experience of both sales. lettings and property valuations, he offers a vast knowledge of the local property market and is driven to achieve the very best results for all his clients, understanding their requirements, exceeding expectations and takes pride in delivering an excellent level of customer service along the way. In 2025 Tom became a Partner within the firm.
Ian has over 50 years experience of the Greater York property market and is the leading authority on residential development land in the North of England. Whether you have a single building plot or a large development site in excess of 100 acres Ian can provide expert advice on your asset and how to maximise it.
James has over 20 years post qualification experience as a Chartered General Practice Surveyor, having previously worked for Sanderson Weatherall. He has considerable knowledge of the Yorkshire market and deals with all aspects of commercial property including; valuation advice for secured lending and company accounts; development appraisals/advice; sale, letting and purchase; rent reviews and lease renewals; non-domestic rating advice and commercial property management.
Sarah joined the firm in 2005 as a member of the National Association of Estate Agents. An enthusiastic member of the team who is highly skilled in sales negotiation/progression and offers a vast knowledge of York and its villages. Sarah oversees our sales team and deals with all Sales Progression in our busy York office being on hand to guide buyers and sellers through the sales process.
With nearly a decade of experience in the property industry, Sam brings a wealth of property expertise to his role at Stephensons. His strong command of the local property market and negotiation skills enables him to secure the best outcomes for his clients. Committed to market leading marketing, exceptional service, and personalised support, Sam guides clients through every stage of their property journey with professionalism and care.
With over a decade of experience in property valuation, Wayne brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to his role at Stephensons. His deep understanding of local market trends and pricing strategies allows him to deliver accurate, informed valuations and he is committed to providing honest advice, outstanding service, and tailored support at every stage of the property journey.
Charlotte graduated from the University of Chester with First Class Honours in Accounting and Finance before launching her career in the competitive London prime property market. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience in sales, applicant management, sales progression, and vendor communication, consistently building strong, trusted relationships with both buyers and sellers. Charlotte also brings valuable insight into the property investment and development sectors, having worked closely with developers across Yorkshire to support a range of successful projects.
Martyn is an experience sale person having worked for the company since 2020. Living locally, he initially joined the firm with a varied role covering both sales and lettings before joining the sale department full time in 2023.
Millie joined the Selby branch in July 2024 and has quickly become an integral part of the team. Leading from the front, Millie is a dedicated Sales Consultant with a wealth of knowledge of the local property market and delivers exceptional customer service to new and existing clients. Millie became a member of the National Association of Estate Agents in 2025.
Amber joined Stephensons in 2023, beginning her career as a Lettings Consultant before progressing into residential sales within the York team. In 2026, she took the next step in her journey by joining the Selby sales team, where she continues to be a valued and knowledgeable member of the business.
With strong roots in the North Yorkshire equestrian community, Amber brings a depth of understanding across a broad range of property types, while also offering specialist insight and advice for equestrian and rural homes. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and consistently high standards of customer care, Amber is committed to delivering a professional, personable, and seamless experience for every client she works with.
Hope initially joined our to the Selby office as a junior negotiator, continuing her pathway and development within the estate agency world. Now have passed here National Association of Estate Agency exams, a recognised professional qualification in the UK property market, as sales negotiator, Hope is on hand to deal with all sales related enquiries, from booking market appraisals to viewings and all other general appointments.
With over 35 years of estate agency experience selling a wide range of town and country properties locally, regionally and nationally, Nick provides our clients with expert guidance, realistic valuations and invaluable marketing advice on how to maximise their property’s true market potential. Having joined Stephensons in 2011, Nick became an Associate Partner in 2017 and manages our residential sales teams in both Easingwold and Boroughbridge.
Philippa joined Stephensons in 2023 having embarked on her career in the property industry in Scotland in 2022. With a strong background in sales and customer service, Philippa is eager to assist both buyers and sellers alike throughout their property journey.
Samantha joined Stephensons in 2022 having previously worked at management level within a fast paced customer focussed industry. Passionate about property and determined to deliver the best possible results for our clients, Samantha is ready to help you sell your property or hopefully find you the dream home that you’re looking for.
Having previously worked at Boulton Cooper Stephenson in Helmsley, Gill lives locally and joined the Easingwold sales team in 2016. Gill provides our clients with a professional, friendly and efficient approach whether you are in the process of buying, selling, renting or letting a property.
Richard is the most recent addition to our market leading team in Easingwold joining us in 2025. Richard offers our clients a wealth of local knowledge and a determination to provide the highest standards of customer service through his professionalism, genuine care and approachable nature making him a trusted guide when viewing our properties.
Yvonne joined the Stephensons in 2023 and has quickly become an integral part of the Easingwold’s market leading team. Her passion for property and infectious enthusiasm combined with her local expertise and deep roots in the community ensure that our clients are provided with the highest standard of customer service. Yvonne was recognised in the 2022 Honours List for services to women and the community in York.
With over 14 years of experience in residential sales and lettings in Easingwold, Boroughbridge and the surrounding areas, Sue aim is to ensure our clients the smoothest move possible and provides invaluable and unwavering support through the day to day challenges that buying, selling or renting a property brings by solving problems, finding answers and chasing up the weakest links in your chain.
Nathan joined the Stephensons team in 2023 bringing with him a degree in Business & Entrepreneurship and having grown up in Boroughbridge, Nathan offers our clients a wealth of local knowledge and a determination to provide the highest standards of customer service. Nathan has also extended his property knowledge further by undertaking the National Association of Estates Agents level 2 qualification.
Charlotte plays an integral role in guiding prospective buyers and tenants through their property search. Having joined our Boroughbridge team in early 2025 with a keen passion for property, Charlotte is on hand to offer sound property advice and, living locally, has a vast knowledge of Boroughbridge and the surrounding villages.
Emma started working for Stephensons in 2018 and has a strong background in residential property sales in and around the Haxby area. Emma is on hand to offer in depth advice about the local area and both buying and selling houses.
Debbie has recently joined us following a varied and successful career within the property industry. She has worked in estate agency for over 25 years in and around York and has an in depth knowledge of both the City and the surrounding towns and villages.
Debbie prides herself on her ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and to help guide them through the buying and selling process. She has a passion for property and bags of enthusiasm and is looking forward to being part of the Haxby team.
Karen brings a wealth of experience in residential property sales, particularly within Haxby and the surrounding areas. With an in-depth understanding of the local market, she offers valuable insights and practical advice to clients looking to buy or sell their homes. Karen’s approachable nature and commitment to providing exceptional service make her a trusted guide throughout every stage of the property journey. Iain joined the Stephensons team in 2017 and comes with a wealth of property experience. Iain became a member of the National Association of Estate Agents in 2019 and is a pivotal part of our York team. An experienced Landlord and Investor himself Iain offers tenants and landlords a wealth of lettings experience. Out of work Iain enjoys cricket and can often be found on the golf course. Iain became an Associate Partner 2025.
Alex initially joined the company in 2022 before taking time away to travel the world. Returning in the summer of 2023 she offers superb customer service, providing a smooth and efficient service to both landlords and tenants.
Andrew works closely with landlords to ensure their properties are maintained and managed to the highest standards.
As a valued member of the property management team, he conducts regular property inspections and provides landlords with informed recommendations on potential improvements. His guidance helps enhance the quality of their investments while maximising long-term returns.

Working as parting of the property maintenance team he carries out periodic property inspections,whilst advising our landlords on improvements that can be made to their investment properties to ensure maximum return.
June has worked for Stephensons for 20 years. She has lived and worked in Selby all her life and as a result her local knowledge is extensive. Her role within the Selby team includes managing the rental department and Personal Assistant to the Branch Manager. June has always been passionate about her job and is highly regarded by our clients
Paula is a highly skilled secretary and an integral part to the Stephensons team. Playing a key role within the Commercial & Development department Paula provides vital support to both James Reynolds & Elliot Newby along with acting as Ian Reynolds PA.
Maxine joined Stephensons in 2023 bringing a wealth of secretarial and administration experience. Maxine is a highly skilled secretary and an integral part to the Stephensons team.
